Parish History

From humble beginnings to a thriving community — 131 years of faith.

1895

Parish Founded

St. Mary's Parish established by the Diocese of Nellore with the first missionary priests.

1910

First Church Built

A permanent stone church structure erected to accommodate the growing congregation.

1935

Parish School Founded

St. Mary's School opened, providing Catholic education to hundreds of children annually.

1948

Church Expansion

Major renovation and expansion of the main church to seat over 800 parishioners.

1972

Catechism Ministry

Formal catechism program launched. Now serves over 900 students annually.

1985

Parish Hall Constructed

A 500-seat multi-purpose parish hall built for community events, meetings, and programs.

2000

Family Apostolate

Family Apostolate launched; organized into wards for community support and outreach.

2020

Church Renovation

Complete interior renovation with new altar, lighting, and acoustic upgrades.

2026

Digital Parish Portal

Launch of this enterprise digital platform — serving all parish needs online.
